MCCI was retained by an ambitious homeowner to help them with the design, approvals, permitting, and construction of a 6,000 sf custom waterfront home.
This custom home boasts many green features and native materials. A detached barn with high performance energy conserving materials was used and allows for ease of storage and operating costs for the owner's helicopter. The stone water table that wraps the house and barn is of native quarried stones. A complete envelope of foam and cellulose blown in insulation helps make the voluminous space affordable to heat and cool via the geothermal ground source heat pumps and radiant heated floors. Custom light fixtures abound are all controlled by programmed light controls for ease of operation. Whole house audio and video systems also add to the convenience of this vacation home.
MCCI is extremely proud to have been chosen to build this magnificent home for a former client. The house has been featured in several New England publications.
